Leave the roads, take the trails. That’s Maaike; always seeking for adventure when hiking through the mountains with family or friends. But never without a map, because for her some control is required. Maaike is theologian, teacher in religion/worldview and self-employed wedding planner. With an open mind she seeks the value of religion in our world. For her master thesis she travelled to Lebanon to find out what religion means in the life of refugees. Her sense for what really matters also becomes visible in her passion for love. Love for our planet, for all life on earth, and also love in a romantic way. Organizing weddings is really her thing and with her creativity and organizing skills, she makes every wedding just perfect. Maaike in two words: diligent and passionate. 

There are people who always come up with good, wild ideas. Such a person is Pieter. And he does not only have ideas, but also makes it work. He has hitchhiked more in his life than anyone else (i.a. the country Iran), explored Europe by motorbike, and loves to wonder around in the forest wherever his feet or the sun will lead him. In his love for the earth and everything that lives on it, he sold his motorbike and is using his talent in the climate movement. Currently he is working as a spiritual caregiver for homeless people where he uses his talent for asking good questions. He has the art of not thinking in boxes but of being open to all kinds of people and making them feel at home. Pieter in two words: adventurous and hopeful.

No mountain too high for Carmen who loves doing climbing with friends. In a blink of an eye she’s on top of the wall. Carmen is educated as teacher in i.a. psychology, worked in the psychiatry and has her profession now as systematic coach. It is her passion to explore and help others to grow, get connected with each other and with nature. For herself she finds this connection in Tai Chi: peaceful and gentle. The happiest is she when she can ride her bike on a warm summer day in her hometown Freiburg. Winters are not her favourite, but she is brave enough to take a cold ice-bath in the lake; enjoying nature in the most vibrant way. Carmen in two words: emphatic and powerful.
